With an active cutting notification, there is no limit to how long practices can be compliant. A pruning notification is generally required when commercial trees are felled on areas under the Managed Forest Act (LMF) or the Forest Crops Act (FCA). The legal requirements of the Managed Forest Act program have changed, allowing landowners greater flexibility and clarifying the management of the program by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR).
